My story
SHOWER-SINGER TURNED RECORDING ARTIST
Just like you, I’ve been through my share of life’s ups and downs.
I’ve been happy and confident, and I’ve been sad to the point of wanting to take my own life.
I have learned to find the song in every season—the good, the bad, the in-between.
My heart is to encourage and entertain you through my music. As a Christian, I love how I can use music to share the love of Jesus—and what is a better way to do that than by doing that through song?
I’m so glad you’re here. I am privileged to be a little minstrel walking with you on your journey through life. I hope that my music will make you feel seen, heard, and loved.

Born and raised in Tampa, FL, singer / songwriter Sarah Sorenson brings vibrant originality to the Christian music scene. With relatable lyrics, pop/gospel vibes, and bright vocals, she captivates audiences with her quirky sense of humor and down-to-earth personality. Sarah leads out many of her songs from the keyboard, evoking a Carole King-esque authenticity in her live performances.
During her college career, Sarah discovered an all-consuming love of singing and songwriting. After starting out as a piano performance major at a college in FL, she decided to move to Nashville, transfer to Belmont University, and major in vocal performance. After graduation, Sarah moved back to Tampa, FL where she continued to pursue her music career with a giddy tenacity, opting to go the independent artist route so she could remain in creative control of her music.
Sarah’s time in Nashville allowed her to meet and collaborate with major Christian industry writers and producers. Writing in rooms with award-winning songwriters including Jeff Pardo, Benji Cowart, Matt Hammitt, Chris August, and Ian Eskelin, Sarah birthed a strong catalog of songs that creatively share stories of faith, perseverance, and finding beauty in the varied landscape of life.
Drawing upon influences from Sara Bareilles, Ben Rector, Tori Kelly, and Kari Jobe, Sarah relentlessly pursues lyrical honesty and musical excellence in her songs. Her debut album, “Little Things,” celebrates its first single release on October 15th. The single, “Hey Neighbor,” goes beyond the confines of vanilla-flavored Christian music with lush imagery, inspiring lyrics, and a hooky melody.
In addition to writing and performing her music, Sarah serves as a worship leader at Grace Family Church.
